May 16

· Intramurals – open gym

· Congratulations to the Track and Field team who competed in the Zones at UPEI yesterday. We had many top 3 finishes with athletes advancing to provincials in a couple weeks. The official results will be posted down by the gym when Mr. Connell receives them. Practices for athletes advancing to provincials will be announced next week, stay tuned.

· Softball - the softball team lost to a tough MEC team yesterday. The next game will be against Hernewood on Tuesday. Bus will be leaving at 3:00pm

· Fulton Tyc and Marco Delgado Keough are asked to see Mr. Connell today.

· Good luck to the following students will be participating in the return of the PEISAA triathlon on Monday at the CUP- Olivia Richard, Henry Olscamp, Evan Perry, Fulton Tyc , Milo Cameron and Elsie Laurejis.

· Intramurals - open gym

· Track and Field - this is the last full week of practice before the meet next week. Athletes will need to attend practice as the team will be finalized this week. Today’s practices are all running events. All relay runners must attend.

· Softball - There are schedules down by the gym for players to pick up. Stay tuned for practice this week

· Jay Brown, Jack Watson and Sophyia Culliton need to see Mr. Connell today

· Flag football games start tomorrow with the Jets and Texans playing. The rest of the teams play Thursday. Schedules can be found down by the gym. All forms and money need to be in before you can play…. No exceptions.

April 25

· Intramurals - open gym on half

· Track and Field today - throwing events (weather depending) and high jump in the gym. All running events are now Mondays and Wednesdays.

· Congratulations to the badminton players who represented SIS at provincials last night, no medals were won but everyone held their own. The players are Abby Walsh, Taralyn Carpenter, Ava Noonan, Sophiya Culliton, Ashwin Baskaran and Luke Somers.

· Flag football tryouts start on Monday. Tryouts are 3:30-5:00pm in the DOME. Tryouts on Tuesday are on the turf 3:30-5:00pm

· Intramurals - badminton

· Track and Field starts today providing the weather holds. Today will be long and triple jump for all that signed up and running for all Bantams (grade 7 & 8). If you signed up for running and jumping, go to running today and let Mr. Connell know you still plan to jump. Tomorrow will be all throwing events and High Jump.

· Softball starts Thursday 3:30-4:30pm in the gym

April 17

· Intramurals - half the gym will be for open gym, the other half will be for badminton players who have advanced to provincials.

· Track and Field starts Tuesday with Long and Triple jump, and also running events for all bantams (grade 7 and 8). Reminder practices take place at lunch hour. Complete practice schedule can be found by the gym and it is not too late to sign up.

· Softball - the first tryout will be next Thursday 3:30-4:30pm in the gym. Mr. Connell will be calling out all softball players just before recess for a quick meeting.

April 16

· Intramurals – badminton and tomorrow will be open gym

· Congratulations to the following doubles teams who qualified for provincials - Luke Somers/Ashwin Baskaran, Abby Walsh/Taralyn Carpenter, Ava Noonan/Sophiya Culliton. Today is the Bantam boys doubles qualifier at Athena. Players will be called out at 2:45pm. Badminton practice today for players going to provincials – 3:30- 4:30pm, please note the time change

· Track and Field practices start next week on Tuesday with long and triple jump (at TOSH) and Bantam Runners only (grade 7 and 8). Running practices will happen at the VIV track. Practices are at lunch and the schedule can be found down by the gym or on SIS Instagram. It is still not too late to sign up for events.

April 15

· Good luck to the doubles badminton teams who play in zones today. Bantam girls are at Athena and will be called out at 2:45pm and the Intermediate boys and girls who play at SIS, you will be called out at 3:00pm

AA girls soccer lost to Birchwood 3-1

All 6 golfers qualified for provincials yesterday at Red Sands- Nolan Martin, Isaak Peters, Joseph Chaisson, Cale Praught, Michael Brown and Brennan Chieco. There will be a golf meeting at recess today.

· Any students who have signed up to volunteering for school related activities, there will be a meeting tomorrow at recess with Mr. Connell in the gym area.

· The boys baseball team needs to have forms and money in today to play in the double header tomorrow. They play at 11:00am vs East Wiltshire and 1:00pm vs Birchwood. All games are at the VIV field

· Athletes are expected to know when they practice and when their games are when the schedules come out. All teams practice today. If you are unsure of your practice time, please see Mr. Connell.

· Baseball tryouts tomorrow 330 to 5pm at the VIV. Bring your own glove. Sign up down by the gym.

· The A girls white volleyball team, Mrs. Langille's team, can pick up their uniforms today at recess in the fitness room.
